W. Dwayne Marcum
Chief Operations Officer
Mr. W. Dwayne Marcum, Sentry Logistic Solutions’ chief operations officer (COO), brings to the company more than 15 years of executive leadership experience in biopharmaceutical and medical products development and manufacturing. In his role as COO, he is charged with developing and carrying out the company’s operational and financial goals and policies. This includes oversight of day-to-day operations across the organization, from shipping, logistics and warehousing to client services, HR, accounting, IT and administration. Additionally, Mr. Marcum is responsible for the company’s short- and long-term financial performance; defining and managing the company’s technology strategy; developing benchmarks for success in each department; and ensuring adherence to administrative and financial controls.
Formerly, Mr. Marcum held a variety of leadership positions with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, essential medical and hygienic products manufacturers. Most recently, he served as aseptic parenteral manufacturing manager for Baxter Pharmaceutical Solutions. In this role, Mr. Marcum administered quality control inspections and reporting procedures, directed aseptic parenteral processing and managed manufacturing. Earlier in his career, he gained experience overseeing industrial processes as a production and operation manager at Associated Hygienic Products, Whitestone Acquisition Corporation, Nice-Pak Products, Inc. and Drypers Corporation.
Mr. Marcum graduated from the University of Rio Grande with a degree in electronics engineering. He continues to enhance his educational foundation by completing coursework in management, leadership, communications, operational excellence and quality compliance. Mr. Marcum is a professional member of APICS The Association for Operations Management.
