Jennifer M. Marcum, BS, PMP
Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Jennifer Marcum, Sentry Logistic Solutions’ chief executive officer (CEO), is an experienced pharmaceutical development executive, project management expert and successful entrepreneur who embodies the strategic vision upon which the organization was founded. She brings to the business a wealth of senior management, scientific and practical experience drawn from her distinguished 15-year career in pharmaceutical and biotechnology development, manufacturing and client services. In her role as CEO, Ms. Marcum not only defines and leads Sentry’s strategic direction but personally ensures that the company delivers on its commitment to customer service, quality and integrity. She is tasked with establishing and attaining the company’s business and financial objectives; identifying and leveraging market trends to position the company as an industry leader; defining and enhancing Sentry’s service line; developing innovative supply chain and service delivery processes; forging strategic global partnerships; ensuring excellence in customer service; and managing the company’s cold storage facility design, construction and operations.
Prior to co-founding Sentry, Ms. Marcum formed and operated a project management consulting firm, Marcum Professional Solutions, LLC. With this venture, she successfully delivered professional services and training to life science, pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the areas of general management, marketing, training, event planning, software system implementation, sales, process optimization and project management office development. Earlier in her career, Ms. Marcum held a variety of increasingly senior management roles in pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing such as supervisor, pharmaceutical services; process development; global business development; and program manager at Baxter Pharmaceutical Solutions. She also served as product engineer for Drypers Corporation (now Associated Hygienic Products) and absorbent product specialist for Chemdal Corporation (now BASF). In these technical leadership roles, she directed product strategy and implementation from planning through production.
In 2003 Ms. Marcum earned the prestigious Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute® (PMI), a global trade organization for the project management profession. PMP certification is recognized world-wide as evidence of a proven level of education, knowledge and experience in project management. She received a B.S. degree in biology from the University of St. Francis. She completed additional coursework at Joliet Junior College, Loyola University, Harper College and the University of Alaska. Professional affiliations and memberships include Project Management Institute (PMI), the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), APICS The Association for Operations Management, the Society of Bio Processing Professionals (SBP), the Healthcare Businesswoman’s Association (HBA) and Ivy Tech’s Logistics Management Advisory Council.
